More than 2,200 new matriculated students began their studies at Hudson Valley Community College during the Fall 2014 term. Students are studying in more than 70 degree and certificate programs offered by the college.

Approximately 1,100 new freshmen, selected from 11,589 applicants, will begin their studies at SUNY Oneonta this fall. Classes start on Monday, Aug. 25. The SUNY Oneonta Class of 2018 has an average high school grade-point average of 91 and an average combined math and critical reading SAT score of 1127.

The following students have been cited for academic achievement for the Spring 2014 semester by achieving the Dean's List at the State University of New York College of Technology at Delhi. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have an academic average of 3.50 or higher and take six credit hours or more within the semester.

Hudson Valley Community College held its 60th annual Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 17 at the college's Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in Troy, NY. A total of 2,240 students earn associate degrees and certificates. Of them, 470 graduate with academic honors.

More than 900 accepted students have indicated their commitment to attend SUNY Potsdam by submitting deposits. The group of incoming first-year students hail from across New York State and beyond. The Class of 2018 will begin classes on Sept. 1.

The 37th annual spring Induction Ceremony of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at Ithaca College was held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 in Hockett Family Recital Hall. During this year's induction, 102 students have been added to the chapter membership.

The national honors and professional society in gerontology Gamma Nu chapter of Sigma Phi Omega (SPO) at Ithaca College added nine students to the chapter membership.
